How m&a work is done here

Transactions are shaped before the first bid: in preparation, in the clarity of the investment thesis, and in the discipline of the process. Safeguard's M&A practice works on the client's side of the table, giving owners, boards, and management an independent view of the deal and a named person responsible for keeping it moving.

We support acquisitions, disposals, and other ownership transactions with analysis, diligence coordination, and process management. Legal, tax, and regulated securities work stays with the client's qualified advisers; we coordinate those workstreams rather than replace them.

Engagements are scoped around a defined transaction objective, with clear deliverables at each stage. Where a transaction involves securities, brokerage or placement activity is performed by appropriately licensed institutions.

What sits in this practice

  • Acquisition strategy and target assessment
  • Sell-side preparation and positioning
  • Due diligence coordination
  • Transaction process management
