Business Challenges Addressed

What this service exists to solve.

01

Documentation failures

Classification errors, missing certificates, and inconsistent paperwork are the leading causes of clearance delay, demurrage, and expense.

02

Coordination across parties

Shippers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and authorities each hold a piece of the clearance picture. Without coordination, the weekly status call is the client's only visibility.

03

Regulated brokerage requirements

Licensed customs brokerage cannot be improvised. Shippers must know precisely who holds broker authority for each entry and what the arrangement obliges them to provide.

Direct vs. Authorized-Partner Delivery

Coordination & Advisory Service

Safeguard Global Group LLC provides customs clearing coordination, documentation support, and shipment management services.

Licensed customs brokerage — the legal act of entering goods with customs for compensation — is performed by appropriately licensed customs brokers. Where brokerage authority is required for a shipment, it is obtained through a licensed broker engaged for that purpose, with Safeguard coordinating documentation and process around the broker. Where coordination support falls outside regulated brokerage activity, Safeguard provides it directly.

Clients are told, before engagement, exactly which functions are Safeguard's and which belong to the licensed broker.

Depending on the jurisdiction and the nature of the engagement, services described on this page may be provided directly by Safeguard Global Group LLC under its own applicable authorizations, or coordinated with, or delivered by, authorized third-party institutions, affiliates, and service partners. Where a regulated service requires an authorization Safeguard does not hold, it is arranged exclusively through appropriately licensed providers. Clients are informed of the delivery structure applicable to their engagement before any service begins.
